The quality and clarity of High Definition is undeniable. This technology allows our cameras to capture events in unbelievably clear and vibrant color, and in incredible detail. Everything from the bride’s  diamond ring to the champagne bubbles rising as  the best man offers a toast, all are captured in

gorgeous resolution with High Definition. The  film-like feel of shooting in this widescreen format  creates even more of a cinematic experience for your wedding production, on top of the movie style we already strive to achieve with every wedding. With this crisp resolution, we can even grab high quality digital stills for photographs. For those who wish to upgrade their package with this option, we can record your day in this emerging format that is quickly rising into the mainstream.

In fact, the FCC has listed January of 2009 as the target date for the transition

from analog signal to this new digital format. At that time, over-the-air broadcasts will be turned off, and 85% of households will have digital televisions. Winslow Video Productions is on the front line of this new technology, offering this emerging format now. One important note about this transition period is the need to allow time for consumer DVD players and televisions

to catch up to the video professionals. As of now, there are two manufacturers striving to become the dominant media format to display High Definition through DVD. Both the Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats are expected to release their High Definition DVD’s in spring or summer of 2006. Currently, Winslow Video Productions has the ability to release our high definition projects on a standard DVD disc, and archive the High Definition digital master for later authoring to a High Definition DVD.

We digitally record your wedding onto digital tape, then upload this data directly to a PC. When the project is finished, we output to a digital format (DVD or digital tape), using Dolby Digital Sound...what does all of this mean to you, the bride and groom? Basically, it means two things: quality and compatibility.

The old method of recording onto VHS or another analog media meant that every time that images and sounds were transferred, generation loss occurred. This means that every transfer meant a loss of quality. This does not occur with digital tape. Both our standard definition and High Definition weddings are recorded onto digital tape. The images and sounds are recorded in a digital format, and transformed into code that a computer reads and understands as pixels, or digital information. Because of this, there is no loss of quality during any step of our production process. The images remain as clear and vibrant as the day they took place.

Compatibility is just as important as quality. Why put all the effort into creating a beautiful wedding DVD, if the bride and groom take it home and it won’t play in their DVD player? Winslow Video Productions has gone the extra mile, to obtain licensing to author every DVD in Dolby Digital audio. This audio format is 100% compatible with the current DVD systems in place in the United States. Other forms of audio compression and output have resulted in incompatibility with some players. We place a high priority in knowing that you will be able to fully experience your wedding day moments without hassle or delay.
